Trial Fonts
We now offer free trial versions of select retail typefaces so you can set real type in mockups and proposals before you buy. Download a trial, put it to work in your drafts and layouts, and see how it performs at the sizes and settings your project actually calls for.
Trial fonts come in Desktop (OTF) format only, with “TRIAL” added to the family name so you can spot them at a glance. Each includes a reduced character set—usually A–Z, a–z, 0–9, and basic punctuation… enough to judge whether a typeface fits your project before you license it. To keep copyfit consistent, any glyph we leave out is replaced with a placeholder of the same width, so the line breaks and spacing you set in a trial font will hold when you move to the retail version. Ligatures and other OpenType features are turned off in trial versions.
Trial fonts are for evaluation only. Any commercial, live, or public-facing use requires a licensed retail version. You’re welcome to download trial fonts for personal use and test them on your own devices. You can also download them on behalf of your organization for testing by up to five people. If more than five people need to test, contact us and we’ll arrange an extended trial license.
